A TREAT TO YOUR SENSES
THE BEST LOCAL FARMER VEGETABLES, FRUITS, CHEESE… AND THE MOST SURPRISING FLEAMARKETS
SANTA MARIA MARKET
FANTASTIC FOR VEGETABLES AND “IBERICOS”
Every Sunday, a huge market takes place in Santa Maria del Cami. From 07:00 until 14:00 plenty of fresh food, home made bakery, all possible vegetabes and fruits, mostly locally produced, wide selection of “ibericos” and all kinds of casual clothing and souvenirs.
There is even an organic produce section, with local and seasonal fruit, vegetables, cheese, cereals, bread, honey, olive oil… free from chemicals.
Parking can be quite difficult so being early is a good choice. Nevertheless there are large car parks on the three sides of the town and walking to the market square is not far.
Also you may like to just take it easy and relax, no problem, there are a number of local cafes around the square where to sit and watch while having a fantastic breakfast.
Fabulous array of goods for sale with plenty of opportunities for rooting around in boxes in the quest for ‘treasure’. Allow yourself a good few hours because this market is pretty huge! All the stallholders are usually keen to strike up a deal.
The market is just before you enter Consell and has a parking inside which costs 1 euro. I recommend parking there as otherwise it is really difficult.
